Night Watch

Psalm 63:1-7  O God, you are my God; Early will I seek you;  My soul thirsts for you;  My flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.

The second word for God in Hebrew is El, “the strong one” David was feeling weak in a thirsty land.  He was hiding from Absalom his son who wanted to kill him. He said, your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall  PRAISE you.  When I remember you on my bed, I meditate on you in the night watches.

He is our only help in the time of trouble.  Turn to the Lord with all of your heart, soul and mind. David sang to the Lord you have been my help, therefore in the shadow of your wings I will rejoice.

 Who is you helper?

There is peace and joy in the Lord.

He is a strong tower in the time of trouble.
